Parcoursup 2021: what results?
The Parcoursup admission procedure ended on September 16, 2021. This year, it concerned 931,000 candidates who were able to apply to more than 19,500 training courses offering diplomas recognized by the State, including more than 6,000 in apprenticeship. “In total, 590,000 baccalaureate holders received at least one admission proposal, i.e. 93% of them, which is a higher rate than last year (92.4%)” specifies the Ministry of National Education in a press release of September 22. This progression concerns all baccalaureate holders, whatever the series concerned (general, technological and professional). For students looking for a reorientation, the The results also show a higher proposal rate than in 2020 (82.8%), despite the greater number of registrants this year on Parcoursup.
With regard to learning, the training offer was more diversified this year, which led to an increase in the number of applications (+16% more applicants). “The financial support provided by the State for the hiring of apprentices is reflected in a concrete way by a number of admitted candidates which has increased by 18% compared to 2020″ says the government. However, 239 high school students, mostly vocational high school students, are still awaiting assignment and continue to be accompanied by the Commission for Access to Higher Education (CAES) whose mission is to offer them a suitable solution before the end of October.
