The 55-year-old male paraglider who was found in a watercourse outside Örebro on Friday evening has died, writes Nerikes Allehanda.
– We have been informed that he is deceased and the next of kin have been notified, says Evelina Molander, officer on duty at the police, to the newspaper.
According to the police, several people from the same club were present when the accident occurred.
In connection with the accident, a report of negligence in air traffic has been drawn up.
– We are now working further with various investigations to see what caused the incident. The accident commission and the Skärmflygbundet are also informed, she says.
– The screen he flew with has been confiscated in order to investigate whether he was careless or whether it was a technical error, she says.
