Banco Desio first half net profit rises to 54 million

(Finance) – Net profit consolidated of Banco Desio in the first half of 2022 it amounted to € 54.1 million, a clear increase compared to the same period of 2021 (+ 46.9%) with Annualized ROE at 9% (+3.7 pts compared to the first half of 2021).

The Operating margin equal to 107.9 million, an improvement compared to the first half of 2021 (+ 18.4%) driven by the increase in revenues to Euro 239.8 million (+ 7.3%) and the growth in volumes.

Cost income ratio at 58% in the first half of 2022 (-4.3 pts compared to the first half of 2021).

The total of administered masses of customers at 30 June 2022 it was approximately € 28.8 billion, down by approximately € 1.6 billion (-5.4%) compared to the balance at the end of the 2021 financial year, attributable to the trend in indirect deposits (- 9 , 3%) partially offset by the direct one (+ 0.3%).

There direct funding at the end of the first half of the year it amounted to approximately 12.5 billion euros and shows an increase of 0.3% which derives from the growth in amounts due to customers of approximately 0.1 billion (+ 1.1%), partially adjusted by the reduction in outstanding securities (-5%).

There indirect funding overall recorded a decrease of -9.3% at 30 June 2022 compared to the balance at the end of the previous year, amounting to € 16.3 billion. In particular, the trend is attributable both to deposits from institutional customers (-9.3%) and to deposits from ordinary customers (-9.3%) due to the performance of the asset management sector (-9.6%) and assets under administration (-8.4%).

The value of loans to customers ordinary at 30 June 2022 amounted to approximately € 11.5 billion, an increase compared to the previous year (+ 3.4%), mainly attributable to the growth in mortgages and medium / long-term loans due to the initiatives offered to support for the production system and families.
