A swimming area has been blocked off in Hällaryd in Karlshamn municipality after poles have been found in the water.
– We classify this as a suspected attempt at serious assault, and we are in the process of creating a picture of what could be behind this, and who has done it in that case, says police spokesperson Filip Annas.
The police were informed on Saturday morning that there were piles at a jetty at the swimming area. It is cordoned off, and will be until divers can examine the piles.
– We need to get divers down there to see if it is the case that someone lowered them down there deliberately so that someone will get hurt or if it is something else, says Filip Annas.
– Before we can dismiss it, we have to investigate to see if there is any crime behind it.
There are no reports of anyone being injured on the piles.
