Supporters of the powerful Shia preacher Muqtada al-Sadr are occupying the parliament in Baghdad for the second time in a few days, state media reports. The protesters are critical of attempts to form a government led by a pro-Iranian bloc that has nominated Mohammed al-Sudani as prime minister. Iraqi security forces have, among other things, used tear gas to quell the protests in the heavily fortified government zone in the capital.
