In 2013, the artist John legend wrote All of me to his future wife. The song would become Legend’s big breakthrough and today it is described as a modern classic with billions of streams. That the message is about true love is something that the artist himself believes has contributed to its great success.
“The inspiration came from my wife-to-be at the time and was about my feelings about the fact that we would soon get married,” says the artist in the interview with TV4’s reporter Carolin Björnerhag.
Although it took a couple of months for the song to take off, the impact was ultimately huge.

During his visit to Sweden, John Legend performed on Gröna Lund in front of 10,000 spectators. Of course he sang the song and when asked if he never gets tired of singing it, the artist replies:
-No! People usually ask that, but it’s not. And I love hearing the audience sing along, they know the lyrics and it always feels good.
