For a long time, the person has worked at various care facilities in Västerbotten. Already in 2019, the employer at the time reported the nurse to the Care and Care Inspectorate (Ivo).
Their investigation shows that the nurse had insufficient knowledge of the medical record system and difficulty reading which medications patients should have.
The nurse has claimed, among other things, that the mistakes were due to stress and lack of routines at the workplace.
Ivo’s assessment was that the nurse’s actions posed a danger to patient safety. HSAN has decided that the nurse will receive a three-year probationary period with continuing education and supervision by a registered nurse.
