Last minute: A flash statement came from the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Bilgin, for the medicine for children with SMA. Making a statement on his social media account, Minister Bilgin announced that the contract was renewed for the drug used in the treatment of SMA patients.
Minister Vedat Bilgin said in a statement on social media:
“The contract of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security has been renewed so that the supply of the drug with the active substance “nusinersen”, which is used in the treatment of our Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 SMA patients, will continue to be provided free of charge.”
