Announced for a while, the second reboot of the Fantastic 4 is taking shape little by little. During San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige revealed the release date of the film, expected for November 2024 and will be one of the very first films of Phase 6 of the MCU, which will be entitled to two Avengers films at 6 months from ‘interval. If the project is still unclear, the bis boss of Marvel Studios has nevertheless revealed that this Fantastic Four will in no way be a new origin story. Interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter, Kevin Feige explained that “many people now know the basics of the story of the Fantastic 4 and that it is time to show something new and which has never been seen in the cinema”. With a saga now turned towards the Multiverse and the threat Kang which is now acquired, Reed Richards and his companions will have a lot to do to counter the plans alongside the other Avengers, knowing that Dr Doom should also be presented in the film-reboot.
Still, for the time being, we still do not know who will play the four protagonists who are Mr Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch and the Thing. Of course, many hope for the return of John Krasinski in the role of Reed Richards, but we remember that the latter had been cast in Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to please the Internet. Not to mention that this is a version belonging to Earth-383, different from the MCU timeline and that this is a variant.
