Now the wait is over for everyone who has been on a reserve place for the autumn university studies. The notification for the second selection has arrived.
A total of 257,378 people have been admitted to at least one degree, according to the University and Higher Education Council (UHR). This is a decrease of around six percent or roughly 15,600 people compared to autumn 2021, but more than the year before the pandemic.
The number of eligible applicants has also decreased ahead of autumn’s admissions. A total of 373,058 applicants are eligible, compared to 410,809 people in the fall semester of 2021. This is a decrease of approximately nine percent.
Most qualified applicants have the law programs at Stockholm University, Uppsala University, Lund University and Gothenburg University.
But hope is not lost for those who have not entered their first choices. There is still the possibility to register later for many programs and courses, according to UHR.
