(Finance) – The continuing difficulties on the operational front atLondon Heathrow Airport might do decide to extend restrictions on the number of flights daily for even a year.
He made it clear John Holland-KayeCEO of the company that manages London Heathrow, according to whom another summer with the limit of 100,000 passengers per daywhich came into force on 12 July last.
Airport staff would be able to handle no more than 85% of traffic registered in 2019taking into account that in the last six months they have been about 1,300 people hired and that the level of security personnel existing before the pandemic has been maintained.
The gap, according to Holland-Kaye, must be ascribed to airline ground handling serviceswhich would result in having no more than 70% of the resources available in 2019.
