Center Cassels most recently came from NHL team Columbus farm team Cleveland.
Through “Fansens Lirare”, the supporters have collected SEK 700,000 for the signing.
“It has made it possible for us to land this signing,” says sporting director Emil Georgsson to the club’s website.
Georgsson says that Cassels, son of NHL player Andrew Cassels, will lead the team both on and off the ice.
