Fighting in eastern Ukraine continues. Russian and Ukrainian forces are reported to have clashed in the Svjati Hory National Park in Donetsk, on the Donets River, two miles outside the city of Slovyansk.

According to the Ukrainian side, Ukraine’s forces have repelled Russian attacks, but according to the ISW think tank, it is unclear what the vague reports actually indicate. It may be that Russian forces crossed the river, but it could just as easily have been Ukrainian soldiers who did so.

“Will fight back”

On Tuesday morning, Odessa and Mykolaiv as well as Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine were attacked with robots, something that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on in his speech late on Tuesday evening.

“The occupiers attacked the Odessa region again, firing robots at ordinary houses, robots designed to destroy warships and other important targets,” Zelenskyy said.

– We will certainly fight back for this, regardless of what lies the Russian Ministry of Defense puts forward about such attacks, he continues.

Zelenskyy adds that all countries in the Western world should follow Britain’s example and increase sanctions against Russia. The country added about a dozen people and organizations to its sanctions list on Tuesday.

Can be cared for in Germany

At the same time, US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin has approved that up to 18 Ukrainian soldiers at a time may be treated at the US military hospital Landstuhl in Germany, reports CNN. The large hospital has for several years cared for American soldiers who were injured in battle.

No Ukrainian soldier has so far received treatment since Austin gave the green light. In order to receive treatment at Landstuhl, the injured would first have to be transported out of Ukraine, and then flown to Germany.
