Greece continues to pile up military vehicles in the Meriç River on the border with Turkey. Another remarkable move came from the USA, which made an F-35 presentation in front of the Greek flag at Suda Base in Crete last week. The US administration, which openly showed its support to the Athens administration at every opportunity, sent new armored vehicles to Thessaloniki in the north of the Aegean Sea.
US EMBASSY IN ATHENS SHARED
The US Embassy in Athens posted a photo of the armored vehicles posted on its Twitter account, saying, “We are very pleased that 90 more M1117s are in Thessaloniki. By the end of the year, Washington plans to ship 1,200 armored vehicles, all for free. Defense cooperation between the USA and Greece is stronger than ever. stronger”.
DESIGNED TO THE TURKISH BORDER
It is known that the armored vehicles sent by the USA were deployed to the Meriç River on the Turkish border.
F-35 POSITION IN FRONT OF THE GREEK FLAG
Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias, Deputy Defense Minister Nikos Hardalia, Chief of General Staff Konstantinos Floros, Air Force Commander Themistoklis Bourolias and the new US ambassador to Athens, George Tsounis, landed on Crete last week.
The large delegation visited the 115th Air Base in Suda and the Marathi Naval Base and watched the ‘Poseidon’s Rage-22’ exercise, in which Greek and US warplanes took off together. Dendias, Hardalia, Floros, Bourolias and Tsounis also posed in front of the American F-35 warplanes brought to Suda.
Moreover, photos of Greek pilots using F-35 jets were shared by the NATO account of the American army.
