Waze now shows electric charging stations, but for a limited time

EPN in Eastern Ukraine People are very worried This will

The Waze traffic information application announces a partnership with Norauto auto centers to display charging stations for electric vehicles on your route. An initiative that is currently in place for a limited time.

After the display of the cheapest gas stations, no less than 13,000 charging stations will appear on Waze to facilitate your journeys in an electric car during the summer holidays. A very practical functionality which will however only be accessible until August 28th.

Waze and Nauroto make your journeys by electric car easier

Waze is one of the reference applications for facilitating your daily journeys, but also the longest trips when you go on weekends or on vacation. Unlike other applications, such as Chargemap not to mention it, Waze will not list all the charging points on French territory, which numbered 65,000 on June 30, 2022, according to the Avere.

Indeed, Waze will display “only” 13,000 charging points across France. The company, acquired by Google in 2013, specifies that it preferred to use the data at its disposal to select only the popular terminals in the most touristic places. You will therefore no longer need to leave the application to easily find where to charge your electric vehicle.

How to find electric charging stations on Waze?

To find the terminals in question, open Waze on Android or iOS and look for the pins with the Norauto logo on the map. They are displayed on your route when you are nearby. You can also simply find an electric charging station by typing directly into the search bar.

Important point, these terminals can be independent public stations and are not necessarily found in Norauto garages. As Norauto specifies in its press release, this partnership began on July 15 and will end on August 28, the date of return of the last August holidaymakers.

Asked by our colleagues from Digital, Waze says it does not want to offer the display of electrical terminals on the routes in a permanent way. This is rather good news for the best free apps to find electric charging stations.
