Starting point for this road-trip, the capital of Greece preserves majestic monuments inherited from its millennial history. Climb up the sacred hill of the Acropolis to see the ruins of the Parthenon, a temple of the Ve century BC. J.-C., before going down again towards the Agora, old center of the public life. Today, the beating heart of the city extends from the picturesque streets of Plaka to the market of Monastiraki, where shops and restaurants are legion.
