Space technologies company SpaceX has sent 52 more Starlink satellites into space with the Falcon 9 rocket launched by NASA from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA. The number of Starlink satellites launched into orbit has reached 2 thousand 957. After the successful launch, the Falcon 9 rocket successfully landed in the Atlantic Ocean off Cape Canaveral as part of the Kennedy Space Center and as the space beach.
The launch in question was SpaceX’s 33rd mission this year and its 6th mission in July. The number of Starlink satellites launched into orbit has reached 2 thousand 957.
FALL DUE TO GEOMAGNETIC STORM
Of the 49 Starlink satellites launched by SpaceX last February, 40 had crashed due to a geomagnetic storm triggered by a massive burst of radiation from the sun. In the statement made by the company, it was stated that the satellites were affected by a geomagnetic storm one day after launch, and it was stated that in case a malfunction is detected during the first system checks, the satellites were routinely placed in low orbits at first to ensure that they returned to Earth quickly and safely and were burned.
ACTIVE IN 32 COUNTRIES
With the Starlink project, SpaceX currently provides internet from space in 32 countries. The service is expected to arrive in Turkey in 2023.
SEEN IN TURKEY, CREATED EXCITEMENT
Starlink satellites were also seen in the skies of Istanbul last Saturday evening.
The rows of shiny objects moving in the sky caused excitement. The remarkable images were recorded by the citizens with their mobile phones. After the images were shared frequently on social media, claims that it was a meteor shower were also put forward.
It turned out that the sequential bright objects seen in the sky across the country are Starlink satellites belonging to Elon Musk.
