Listen to the world move

Listen to the world move

How do we move in the world and how does it get along? The lapping rocks the Venetians on their rowing boats. The clicking of hooves punctuate the daily lives of Dakar residents: horse-drawn carriages transport all types of materials there. And finally the roar of Prey Nup’s three-wheeled tuk-tuks accompany the travellers. From Italy, passing through Senegal and as far as Cambodia, a sound journey on three continents.

Listen to the world is a radio program replaying in podcast here, but also a participatory platform dedicated to listening. It archives and provides free access to more than 200 sound recordings sent from all over the world, to be found on The sound map.

This episode was produced with the sound contributions of: Monica Fantini in Venice, Michel Créïs in Dakar, and François Porcheron in Prey Nup.
