An electrical fault that has persisted since Thursday causes train traffic through Örebro to be delayed. A large number of stations are affected. Only one track can be driven on, so the trains have to wait for each other, the Swedish Transport Administration announces.
Wednesday was also a difficult day for train travellers, and problems followed on Thursday due to a fire and several electrical failures.
Many departures were canceled as a result.
– Now one of the errors remains. You need special staff for what was not available last night. It’s holiday time, says Katarina Wolfram at the Swedish Transport Agency’s press service.
There is no certain forecast for when the error may be fixed.
– Repairs can begin at 4 p.m. at the earliest. It’s hard to say when it might be ready, it might be tonight or tonight, says Katarina Wolfram.
The fault is south of Örebro, on the route Uppsala–Stockholm C–Örebro/ Hallsberg–Borlänge–Gävle.
The western main line is not affected. According to Peter Krameus at SJ’s press service, there are delays of between ten and thirty minutes.
