At the latest, the upcoming The Flash film should be the nail in the coffin for the star’s superhero. But now there is suddenly again Hope for positive Superman news by Cavill himself.

Nothing has been officially confirmed yet, but Deadline has one in a report about all the expected content of the San Diego Comic-Con, which starts today DC bomb burst.

The trustworthy industry magazine only writes that there is a fuss behind the scenes Cavill’s surprise appearance there to announce more of his Superman. There is no more detailed information.
Only DC panels for Black Adam and Shazam 2: Fury of the Gods have been officially confirmed, although it is not clear whether Cavill’s Superman could possibly appear in one of the projects or something completely new is announced.
Even though Warner hasn’t commented on Henry Cavill’s Superman future at DC lately, the star has spoken still enthusiastic about his role. In an interview last year, for example, he revealed plans for the unfinished Superman story from the Zack Snyder universe that Cavill would have liked to realize. Maybe it’s going to happen now…
