Marvel movie with great idea that brought together 20+ superheroes

After Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: No Way Home is probably the most acclaimed MCU blockbusters in recent memory. Thanks to the multiverse, the Marvel cracker has spectacularly united the Spider-Man stars Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire in one film.

Almost 10 years before No Way Home, X-Men: Days of Future Past has practically already the blueprint for the successful concept of the Spider-Man film delivered. You can watch the 2014 X-Men film today at 8:15 p.m. on Kabel eins.

X-Men: Days of Future Past relies on bombastic superhero overkill

The plot of the sequel to X-Men: First Class takes place in a dystopian future where mutants imprisoned in detention camps and the earth will be ruled by the Sentinels.

Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) manages to to travel to the pastwhere the young versions of Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) plan an assassination attempt against Senator Robert Kennedy.

Through the various narrative levels linked by time travel, X-Men: Future is Past becomes superhero:inner overkill, in which over 20 known and new characters from the comic book franchise and brought together. So long before Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: No Way Home, this X-Men installment was the forerunner of this kind of bombastic character extravaganza.
