(Finance) – UK inflation continues to accelerate in June. According to data published by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), consumer prices mark one growth of 9.4% on an annual basisagainst the + 9.1% of the previous month and the + 9.3% indicated by the consensus. On a monthly basis inflation registered a increase of 0.8%, higher than + 0.7% of the previous month and expected by analysts.
The given core inflation, which excludes the most volatile components such as food and fuel, it decelerates to + 5.8% in line with expectations, up from 5.9% the previous month. On a monthly basis there is a + 0.4%, below the previous and expected + 0.5%.
Producer prices also risewhich in June mark one growth of 1.4% on a monthly basis, above market expectations (+ 1.1%), but below the variation of the previous month (+ 1.6%). On an annual level, a growth of 16.5% was recorded, against the + 15.8% of the previous month and the + 16% expected by the market.
The core indexexcluding food, beverages, tobacco and oil, rose by 0.8% over the month, after the + 1.5% in May and on an annual basis of 15.2% from the previous + 15%.
