Kenyan Tourism Minister Najib Balala said in a statement that one of the Maasai giraffes gave birth to twins in the National Park in the capital, Nairobi, and this is very rare.
Maasai giraffes, which are at risk of extinction, are considered to be the “longest land animal in the world” with a length of about 5 meters.
Giraffes giving birth to twins have been recorded several times so far.
According to the data of the Giraffe Conservation Foundation, there are approximately 117 thousand giraffes left in the wild.
