Panic erupted in Mexico after a passenger tried to commit suicide on board. According to the statement made by the Mexican Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC), a 40-year-old male passenger had a nervous breakdown and injured himself after entering the toilet of the plane in the incident that occurred yesterday during the domestic flight number 4081 of Viva Aerobus airlines between the cities of Tijuana and Monterrey. The pilot, who learned about the incident, decided to make an emergency landing at Hermosillo International Airport to treat the injured passenger. The passenger, who was first aided by the medical teams on the plane, was then transferred to the hospital. Other passengers continued their journey on another plane.
On the other hand, eyewitnesses said that the passenger, who had a nervous breakdown, smashed his mobile phone and injured himself with sharp pieces.
