From the maker of Warframe comes Soulframe, an “alternate universe” game and story. The cinematic trailer of the game has been released.
A new game announcement came from the Warframe maker: Soulframe. Yes, our new game will be called “Soulframe” and according to producer Digial Extremes, it will be an open world game “set in the parallel universe of Warframe” and with a Far Eastern influence.
Unlike Warframe’s world filled with robots and technology, the themes of “nature, regeneration and exploration” will be handled in a post-apocalyptic world.

Inspired by the free Soulframe Princess Mononoke and The NeverEndingStory. Using these similarities, the producer studio will create a universe where “industry and nature collide, and the earth and the earth are not at all happy about it.” Geoff Crookes, the creative director of the game, explained this situation as follows:
“The idea behind Soulframe is that the world is a bit frustrated by what has been done to it. The structures under the ground will change throughout the day. So the underground world of the game such as caves etc. will be constantly renewed.”
The producer company Digital Extremes emphasizes that the game, which they are at a very early stage in the production phase, will be a co-op focused PVE (Player vs. Environment) game, just like in Warframe. He also stated that Soulframe will be a fantastic game, so that Warframe will stand out from the sci-fi world. Therefore, it is stated that the game will be focused on close combat, unlike Warframe.
The game’s release date and platforms are not yet clear. However, Digital Extremes has stated that “a version” of the game could be ready within a year.
