A small propeller plane has crashed into Lake Siljan by Sollerön, a few miles outside Mora. The alarm was received at 4.15 pm and a large rescue operation is underway in which the rescue service and the Maritime and Air Rescue Center are participating. After searching for a while, wreckage could be located, after which a person was found and taken to hospital. Another person is still wanted.
According to Johan Beischer, deputy rescue leader at the Maritime and Air Rescue Center, the aircraft was US-registered and the passengers were foreign citizens.
