This statement was made by the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kamal Kharazi who is an adviser to the Supreme Leader and head of the Strategic Council for Foreign Relations.
“We have the technical capacity to manufacture atomic weapons, but we have not taken the decision to do so,” said Kamal Kharazi in an interview with Al Jazeera television.
During his visit to Saudi Arabia and Israel, the American president assured several times that Washington will prevent Iran from gaining access to atomic weapons by all means.

In response to Israeli threats, Iranian officials also said that the Iranian armed forces had repeatedly simulated attacks against Israel, including against its nuclear facilities.
