As early as 2019, Emilia Clarke spoke for the first time about the fact that during her time on Game of Thrones two aneurysms has suffered. In an aneurysm, which occurs frequently in the brain like Clarke’s, arteries dilate and can cause fatal bleeding. Those affected often suffer severe consequential damage from an aneurysm.

In a recent interview, the Game of Thrones star has spoken again about the disease and is showing himself relieved about the recovery process.

Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke can continue living normally after aneurysms

As Variety reports, the actress revisited her aneurysms in 2011 and 2013 in an interview with BBC’s Sunday Morning for her new theatrical production of Chekhov’s The Seagull.

In addition to the severe pain and the long healing process, she considers it to be a thing of the past Wonderthat she is doing so well today:

The part of my brain that is no longer usable – it is remarkable that I am able to speak articulately at times and live my life normally without any effects. I belong to them really really really small minority of people who can survive it. What’s next after Game of Thrones?

After the end of the main series starts on August 22nd in Germany the first spin-off House of the Dragon. The offshoot takes place around 200 years before Game of Thrones and tells the story of House Targaryen.
