Poco Watch review

In our Poco Watch review content, we take a look at the general features and user experience of the company’s first smartwatch model.

The Poco company, which has attracted attention with its phones (Poco F4 GT review) recently released, has also started to come up with new products on the wearable technology side. I’ve been using the company’s first smart watch model, the Poco Watch, for a while. Poco Watch review In our content, I will convey the general features of this watch, but more importantly, my user experiences.

Poco Watch review

The Poco Watch is actually a model produced with a price performance focus. When we look at its price, we see that although it is in the entry segment, it is a model that tries to achieve this balance with its features. The watch, which stands out with its compact structure and light weight, also seems to have many features, especially health applications.

Design

Weighing in at 31 grams, the Poco Watch is an ergonomically comfortable model. Of course, the strap part gives a more monolithic impression, especially on the side where it meets the dial. The strap has a looped design at the end. Although it is hard, you do not feel any discomfort when you wear it on your wrist due to its light structure.

We can say that the dial part, which is 10 mm thick, is at a very assertive level in this regard. The bezel of the watch, which uses an amoled display, is a bit thick. For this reason, we see that both black tones are used in the embedded dial options. When it’s black, this frame thickness doesn’t bother much. But if you want to use a very different interface, you have to take into account that the frames stand out a little.

There is a thin button on the right side of the dial, which has a plastic accent. Apart from this button, which we use to enter the menus and return to the main menu, of course, the sensor and two-point charging section are located on the back surface.

Of course, since an Amoled display is used, we have a model with features such as an always-on display. In addition, you can choose between which hours this feature will be active in the settings section, and you can make it less affect battery performance. The size of this screen, which has a resolution of 320 x 360 pixels, is 1.6 inches.

Features

Poco Watch review

Poco Watch has all the standard applications that a smartwatch should have. You can make measurements such as oxygen rate in the blood, 24-hour heart rate tracking, sleep and stress tracking. Apart from this, of course, it also includes features such as the menstrual cycle or breathing training. 17 professional modes and more than 100 fitness modes are also included in the watch. The watch also has features such as GPS tracking.

You can follow social media, call and different application notifications on the watch. However, there is no feature such as replying or interacting. I can say that this is one of the biggest shortcomings in this subject. Since there is no speaker and microphone, you cannot make calls on the watch, but there is an option to reject incoming calls.

Poco Watch can be used on both Android devices and iOS models. I used it with the iPhone 11 along with the POCO F4 GT model during the time I tested it. I’ve used both with no problems. Of course, you use the Mi Fitness app for Bluetooth connection and pairing. As you can follow the measurements I just mentioned on the watch, you can see them in more detail on this application. It is also possible to look at daily, weekly or monthly statistics on the application.

There are 20 built-in apps on the watch. Apart from this, unfortunately, 3rd party support is not included. In other words, you cannot download new tools through the application. I think Poco will probably make some improvements in this regard in future models. A standard operation is also seen in the use of the interface. By pressing the button, you reach this application menu. When you swipe up and down, notification menu, control panel comes up. When you swipe left and right, frequently used applications appear.

battery life

Poco Watch has a battery capacity of 225 mAh. In normal use, you do not have to worry about charging for a period of two weeks. Of course, when you use it extensively and make all the measurements continuously, this period can be reduced to five or six days. You can charge it 50% in half an hour and 100% in about 1.5 hours.

Conclusion

As a result, Poco Watch has become a model that can meet the needs of users who want to buy an entry-level smart watch with the features it offers. It manages to attract attention with its measurements, training modes and notification features. Of course, if you are looking for features such as making calls, let’s say that you need to increase your budget a little more.
