It has been revealed that Stray, an interesting production set in the Cyberpunk universe where we play as a cat, was inspired by which cats. Meow meow…
It has been revealed that the Stray game, which was announced a long time ago and whose release date is getting closer, was inspired by which cat. In a blog post he shared, the developer also shared the real images of the cute cat, the main character of the game. They’re both so cute, hold me, I’m going to love it!
Here’s Stray… Sorry Murtaugh!
The cat character, which we will portray in the game Stray, was actually inspired by one of the developer’s cats, Murtaugh. Let’s meet Murtaugh, one of the calmest members of the genus, which we describe as the crazy coils…
Stray, which we see in the name of the game, is a name given to stray animals. The developer’s cat, Murtaugh, was once taken off the street and is now in his warm home inspiring a game’s main character. The kitty found under a car in Montpellier, France, is the cat of the company’s co-founders. They called him “Boss” at home. It’s also heavily inspired by the main character, though not entirely based on Murtaugh. At the same time, the cat in the game does not have a real name, I guess they left it to us players.
They state that Stray’s main character tries very hard to make her feel like a cat 100%, as cat owners can understand very well. Again, a cat was employed for the reference images of cat movements. Introducing Oscar!
Oscar’s movements are referenced for some jumping and running animations. It is said that it helps a lot with the work in the studio and makes things easier. Stating that it is very difficult to make the running animations of cats realistic and smooth, the developer says that he is grateful for Oscar’s help in this regard. They say that working with real cats right under their noses has helped them a lot in improving their cat animation and behavior in the game.
Stray will be out for PC, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on July 19. It has already been opened for pre-order and is currently on sale for PC on Steam for 144.00 TL. At the same time, let’s say for those who do not know that the game will be released with Turkish language support.
