In recent weeks, it has burned several times in different places in Köping and Kolsva. At the same time, the municipality has received more and more reports of suspected incidents in the marina.
– Boat owners have heard about people who should not be there, there must have been thefts and something we suspect is drug trafficking, says Thomas Hoffman, head of security at Köping municipality.

Now the municipality and the police together have decided to take action, by intensifying the work, both operationally and preventively. Among other things, by hiring external guards and having police on site in Kolsva, where the rescue service also patrols.
– There is also an opportunity for municipal residents to report suspicious events on our website and it is very important in our work, we need all the help we can get, says Thomas Hoffmann.
Is there a connection between the events in the harbor and the fires?
– No, we do not think so, but both create great insecurity right now and are important to work extra with, says Stefan Persson, who is the municipal police in the area.
