A 14-year-old girl lost her life and a 13-year-old boy was injured as a result of the derailment of the Cobra roller coaster with two seats behind it, at the Tivoli Friheden amusement park in Aarhus, Denmark’s second largest city. While the amusement park was closed after the accident, the police launched an investigation into the incident.
In the statement made by the police, using the expressions “A 14-year-old girl from Copenhagen died after a tragic accident in Tivoli Friheden in Aarhus on Thursday afternoon”, she asked the witnesses to tell what they know about the accident and to share the footage with those who recorded the accident.

According to the information on the website of the amusement park, the 400-meter-long train called Cobra reaches a speed of 70 kilometers per hour. On the other hand, a similar accident occurred on the same roller coaster shortly after the amusement park was opened in 2008 and 4 people were injured.
