Festivals are synonymous with music and joy, but also quarrels and drunkenness. To prevent minors from drinking alcohol, the city festival, Piteå dances and smiles, has a service called Blås green. Where parents report their children to blow in an alcohol meter, before leaving the festival area. The result is sent via text message to the guardian.
– This is a tool that makes it easier for parents to create trust in the child not only on paper, but something that actually shows that the youth is sober, says festival general Fredrik Nilsson.
