Nothing is worse than investing time in a series and then simply canceling it with all mysteries unsolved. The frustration of the fans was correspondingly great when the series Manifest was canceled after 3 seasons and a mega cliffhanger.
But then Netflix jumped in and saved the mystery hit for 20 more or final episodes. In order for creator Jeff Rake’s master plan to be completed in Season 4, a few changes need to be made.
Manifest ends with Season 4 on Netflix: is 20 episodes enough?
In Manifest, Flight 828, missing for five and a half years, suddenly turns up again. But no time has passed for the 191 passengers on board. Then they have to the mystery of her disappearance as well as the suddenly occurring visions of destiny, so-called vocations.

Unlike some other mystery series, it was clear from the start how and when Manifest would end. The story was designed for a total of 6 seasons. Since the series will now end with Season 4, this plan has to be changed a bit, as manifest creator Jeff Rake reveals in an interview with Entertainment Weekly:
I always talked about three more seasons – and part of it was chronological because it was always my goal to do that Series finale in real time to achieve, in line with the five and a half years available to passengers – and that needs to be adjusteddepending on how those episodes are released.
Since Season 1, an ominous death date has hovered over the minds of the Stone family and the 828ers. until June 2, 2024 they have time to find a way to avert their death. Manifest itself does not have this time and ends before that. However, fans of the series need not worry that many questions will remain unanswered due to the shortened ending. “The endgame will not change in any way.” assures Jeff Rake.
I’m absolutely confident that I can 20 episodes enough time have to tell the whole story the way I always wanted to.
Shortly after the shock cancellation, Rake even worked out a film version that would have brought Manifest’s story to a conclusion in two hours. Even if there will not be three more seasons of Manifest, the planned one can Timetable for the series nevertheless implemented will.
This should not have consisted of completely clocked squadrons. Rather, there is Master plan made up of key revelations, twists and milestones for Manifest’s complex mythology and character relationships. These will now be dealt with a little faster with Season 4.
When does Manifest Season 4 start on Netflix?
The final 20 episodes of Manifest will be released on Netflix in at least two blocks. The first part of Manifest Season 4 is scheduled for Fall 2022 on Netflix to be published. There is no concrete start date yet.
