Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has fled the country. According to the news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP), he has now landed in the Maldives with his wife and bodyguard. Rajapaksa is expected to announce his departure on Wednesday and is said to have fled for fear of being captured.
