Although Elden Ring incorporates co-op play features, they are still limited and limiting. Barriers that the Seamless Coop mod is responsible for removing, we explain how to install it.
Elden Ring has been a monstrous success since its release in February 2022. Critically and gamer-acclaimed, From Software’s latest title follows in the footsteps of Dark Souls, Sekiro and Bloodborne games, both in its unique art direction, its full gameplay and full-bodied difficulty. Except unlike its predecessors, Elden Ring takes an open-world direction for the first time in From Software games history, giving the player the choice of how and when to progress through its epic and convoluted story. A choice that probably makes it one of the best open-world RPGs in history, but that we feel less in its multiplayer mode, limited by From Software’s summoning system. Indeed, the latter only offers you to invite friends in certain areas and certain situations, which can sometimes be frustrating for those who wish to discover the Entre-Terre accompanied. The good news is that a mod now allows you to play Elden Ring in co-op without restrictions and from A to Z, Seamless Coop by LukeYui. We explain where and how to install it.
WARNINGS
The Seamless Coop mod is the creation of a single talented modder and not of From Software, so it can be unstable, occasionally creating crashes and quest or item duplication bugs in particular. The updates following its release have clearly corrected the most disturbing problems, but a few remain. Moreover, it is in no way authorized by the anti-cheat of Elden Ring and uses a separate launcher from the original game, without a cheat prevention system.
You should also know that certain rules must be respected for a smooth game, such as keeping the same host as often as possible, or performing the teleportation actions at the same time (when Melina wants to take you to the Round Table in particular).
