At least 147 people have been killed in floods and landslides as a result of heavy monsoon rains in Pakistan. According to the authorities, it has so far fallen almost twice as much rain as at this time an average year.
The port city of Karachi has been hit the hardest. There, entire residential areas have ended up under water and people have been stranded or trying to wade through the water on foot or by bicycle.
