“The biggest challenge for municipalities and regions is the supply of skills in all activities, so it will be an important focus in my assignment. It is both about developing welfare activities based on the conditions that exist and to influence the Riksdag and government to give municipalities and regions better conditions to meet the citizens with good welfare and service “, says Danielsson in a press release.
Danielsson has been chairman of the municipal board in Helsingborg since 2006 and has been a member of the board of SKR since 2015. He was a member of the Riksdag in 2002–2006 and the 1st Deputy Chairman of the Moderates in 2015–2019.
Former chairman Anders Knape chose to leave his post at the beginning of June.
Until 31 July, Carola Gunnarsson is SKR’s Deputy Chairman.
