The Swedes have made a pilgrimage from the KHL.
But now two seem to be staying.

Since Russia chose to invade Ukraine, many Swedish players have broken their contracts with the Russian clubs. Already in the spring, many chose to leave, but some clearly played the playoffs and Adam Reideborn and Klas Dahlbeck also won the title in Russia.
Does not break the contract
Only one Swede has since the war extended a contract with a Russian club, when defender Robin Press chose to chalk on for additional seasons. But now the Press looks at least to be joined by two Swedes for the coming season.
Unlike many stars, it now looks like goalkeeper stars Adam Reideborn and Johan Mattsson will not break their contracts, but return to Russia for continued play next season. Reideborn won the title with the arm company CSKA Moscow earlier in the spring, and Johan Mattsson has a contract with Avtomobilist.
“Will fly to Russia”
Of course, much can still be changed, but if you are to believe the controversial agent Aljosa Pilko, the Swedish duo will play in the KHL next season as well.
– The Swedish goalkeepers Adam Reideborn and Johan Mattsson will fly to Russia and play for their clubs next KHL season, he says to Russian television.
One reason why the duo does not break the contract is that there is no financial help from other interested clubs. When Theodor Lennström broke his contract to – probably – sign for Färjestad, information says that FBK helped financially to settle the contract. Last week, the Swedish stars Daniel Zaar and Lawrence Pilut also broke their contracts in the league.
