Quentin Tarantino confesses his love for a real pig

Quentin Tarantino hasn’t done a movie since Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood. In the meantime, however, he became a father twice. This can turn viewing habits upside down, as statements by the director confirm in a new interview. In it, the expert on dirty dialogue and brutal shootings confessed his Admiration for a cartoon pig.

Quentin Tarantino loves the cartoon pig Peppa Wurtz

In the current issue of Empire, Tarantino spoke about the experience of watching Despicable Me 2 with his two-year-old son Leo. But he also spoke about a marvel of modern pop culture that has enchanted him: the cartoon Peppa Pig on the everyday adventures of a pig girl. The director of Pulp Fiction and Inglourious Basterds didn’t hold back in his praise. Peppa Pig is one less “consuming” Viewing experience than the Minions movie, but:

I actually really like Peppa Pig. I watch it often. I say it out: Peppa Pig is the greatest British import of the decade.

Who now justifiably shouts “WHAT ABOUT PADDINGTON‘, one thing to bear in mind: the sandwich-eating bear has been fizzing through children’s furry fantasies since the 1950s. Let’s hope that’s why Tarantino is passing the British icon in favor of the pig – and that son Leo is coming of age soon , where he can enjoy Paddington 1 and 2.

In any case, Tarantino became a father for the second time a few days ago. He and his wife Daniella Tarantino announced the birth of a daughter on Monday. Their name is not yet known.

Who is wondering now: Leo, born in 2020, was not named after Django Unchained villain Leonardo DiCaprio, but after Daniella’s grandfather. He was also, according to Tarantino in Jimmy Kimmel, “our little lion” .

Next up is Quentin Tarantino becoming a podcaster and non-fiction writer

If you want to see or hear something new from Quentin Tarantino, you will find it away from the big screen. The first episode will be released on July 19th The Video Archives Podcast, which Tarantino will co-host with his Pulp Fiction co-writer, Roger Avary. Tarantino’s first non-fiction book, Cinema Speculation (at Amazon *), will appear in November.
