Once the families had settled in, the next challenge came: what do we do with the children? In Ukraine, they naturally went to school. Besides the fact that education is important for development, many parents also wanted to return to a normal daily rhythm for their children. Many high school students continued their education, but online. “That was an advantage of the period in which we were educated at home because of Covid,” explains 14-year-old Ukrainian Polina. “We were already familiar with the online lessons and when many students fled abroad, we were able to pick up those lessons again”
