Sunday, July 10, nearly 2.9 million voters will elect their deputies, local and municipal councilors, as part of the legislative and local elections. The election campaign, which lasted two weeks, ended last night without major incidents.

On foot in the neighborhoods closest to the headquarters of their staffs, on motorbikes, in cars and even by canoe in the most remote corners of the country, the candidates for the legislative elections went to meet the voters.
To the latter, they promised, in addition to the vote of the laws in the hemicycle, to restore water or electricity here, a road or an agricultural track there.
Another finding, during this campaign, some majority candidates made a show of force by inviting artists and distributing gadgets, despite the fact that they had no opponents in their constituencies.
The main highlight of the campaign was the withdrawal of a candidate from the ruling party, the Congolese Labor Party, the PCT. His political formation accused him of having made tribalist and hateful remarks during a meeting.
Overall the campaign took place without major incidents in a good atmosphere.
Present in carnivals and other gatherings, activists are expected at the polls on Sunday. Ballot boxes that they have often deserted during the last legislative elections. The participation rate will therefore be one of the major issues.
