Game stop: Saturday 9/7, 15:59
1. The Netherlands – Sweden, 2
Two favorite tipped nations make up in the premiere round of the European Women’s Championship. Reigning champions the Netherlands against one of the big favorites Sweden. Peter Gerhardsson’s national team has been strong for a long time now, and we see them as stronger than the Netherlands at the moment. The Netherlands, which is not as good today as when they won the championship last time and where the new national team captain did not get the defense right. We play a straight 2nd.
2. Portugal – Switzerland, X2
Portugal is the group’s weakest team, and you will probably bet on and be happy with a cross when you face a stronger opposition in the form of Switzerland. At the same time, Switzerland has had problems in the offensive lately, although they should beat Portugal. In addition to what we have already stated, premiere matches have a tendency to end in a draw – two teams with a lot to lose, who would rather take a cross than risk a loss by moving forward. We play X2.
3. Degerfors – IFK Norrköping, 2
Degerfors has not achieved this this year, and is second to last in the table. Now they are also losing their best player, Abdelrahman Saïdi, to Hammarby, and the question is whether he is on the pitch here – he is said to be presented in Hammarby shirt on Monday.
IFK Norrköping has not made many happy this season, but the knowledge is high and this is a match where the team really has to take a much-needed three-pointer. We nail the 2nd.
4. Bodö / Glimt – Sarpsborg, 12
Difficult-tipped match, between two teams on the same point in the table. Bodö / Glimt has not at all gotten it right like the last two years, and the competitors seem to have cracked the code and learned how to defend against Glimt.
Stefan Billborn’s Sarpsborg are dangerous offensively, but have problems in defense. Right now, it is also goalkeeper injuries to the extent that the third goalkeeper must play. We feel that this match can end a bit anyway, and run a “fork”. 12!
5. Strömsgodset – Odds BK, 1
Strömsgodset has four straight victories at home at Marienlyst Stadium, and here they are considered clear favorites against Odds BK. Here, Odd also misses important Björtoft, which is a heavy break. Odd has had a lot of post at the end, and towards a stronger “Estate” we believe that the turn will even out in the end. We nail the 1st.
6. HIFK – FC Haka, 2
HIFK is a club in crisis right now. The team is clearly at the end of the series, and there is very little indication that the trend will be broken. In addition, there is a financial crisis in the club, and not much is as it should be here. For the match against Haka, the suspended first goalkeeper Beto is missing.
FC Haka has looked stable, even though the away game has not been top notch. But against the clear league jumbo HIFK, we believe in Haka. Single two.
7. VPS – IFK Mariehamn, 1
The VPS result at home and away is a bit astonishing. 0-1-4 at home, but 5-0-2 away. Away is good but home is best?
Despite VPS ‘weak home record, they are four places and five points ahead of IFK Mariehamn. We believe that the team’s home record has more to do with coincidences than that you are a worse team at home, and here we suspect that the trend is broken. We play a straight 1st.
8. New York City – New England Revolution, X2
Two of the main candidates to take home the Eastern Conference clash. New England won it last year, but New York City won the playoffs and the final title.
Two even teams, where New York City has been really weak lately. Five straight games without a win is not what a top team should perform, and here we do not understand their big favorite. We play X2.
9. Elfsborg – AIK, X2
Elfsborg is recruiting big, and is preparing for a top battle. Niklas Hult and Sebastian Holmén are both rumored to be on their way in, and with these names the team gets one of Allsvenskan’s strongest defenses. But these players have not arrived in time for this match, as they are up against the team that right now is perhaps the strongest defensive in the series. We keep AIK as a stronger team than Elfsborg, but they have long had problems with the away game and therefore we are hesitant about where we have them. We guard the weekend.
10. Mjällby – Häcken, X2
Häcken leads the series despite a match less played than MFF, Djurgården and AIK. Alexander Jeremejeff scores goals in match after match, and a lot looks good for the Gothenburg club. Now they certainly only have two points in two matches during the autumn season, but considering that they have met Hammarby and Elfsborg, it can be considered approved. Here they face simpler opposition in Mjällby, which has admittedly taken four points in the last two. We choose to play X2.
11. Kalmar – Sirius, 1X
Kalmar has difficulty with goal shooting, and rarely scores more than 1 goal per match. The defense is at least stable, and they have conceded the least goals in the series. Sirius mixes and gives a hint, and comes most recently from victory against Norrköping and loss against Gothenburg. We suspect that Sirius can get a point, but no more than that. 1X is played.
12. Jönköpings Södra – Östersund, 1
Bottom meeting in the Superettan. J-Södra is second last, and ÖFK is last. J-Södra has nevertheless shown positive tendencies, when they made a good match against Örgryte in the restart of the series followed by an honorable loss against the table HBK. For Östersund, it looks pitch dark. We play the straight 1st.
13. Utsikten – Öster, 2
The newcomer Utsikten is ahead of the table, but Öster has the stronger team on paper. The odds distribute the favorite according to 35-27-37, but the Swedish people have played 46-26-28. The value is clearly on Öster, and there we choose to play. Rak 2: a!
