Mattias Larsson most recently came from a position as Ministerial Adviser and Head of Criminal Justice at the Ministry of Justice.
“With his solid knowledge and experience of law enforcement and crime prevention issues, he will contribute to developing Brås’ activities even more,” says Minister of Justice and Home Affairs Morgan Johansson in a press release.
Larsson replaces Björn Borschos, who has been acting CEO since 14 February this year. Borschos in turn replaced Kristina Svartz, who left her post in January to become deputy director of the Riksdag.
Mattias Larsson will take up his new position on October 1, 2022.
