Sweden is now classified as a high-risk country for covid -19 by the US infection control authority CDC. This means that travelers who want to go to Sweden are asked to ensure that they have adequate vaccine protection, however, there is no advice against going here.
Following the latest update on 5 July, the high-risk list covers a total of 113 countries. Among them are already the other Nordic countries, such as Germany, Italy and France.
The CDC divides the countries of the world into four risk classes. To countries in the very highest risk class, travelers are completely advised against traveling, but at the moment there are no countries in that class.
