The memorandum is called ‘Vision City Water’ and it should be ready in the autumn. Utrecht has a limited number of places where it is legal to swim in open water, such as Plas Strijkviertel and the Haarrijnse Plas. In addition, there are several places where swimming is practiced on a large scale, but where it is actually not allowed, such as in the Veilinghaven and at De Munt. It is clear that the alderman wants to see whether those places can be legalized. But whether that will work remains to be seen from the vision.
