The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, is stepping down as Minister of Housing and Labor, one of the government’s most experienced politicians. It was when Michael Gove, one of Johnson’s most experienced ministers and former allies, yesterday called on the Prime Minister to resign – that he was fired.
Johnson himself remains – despite the increasingly strict departure requirements. More than 40 ministers and senior officials have now left their posts in protest of Johnson’s leadership.
