To counter the high heat, some large buildings choose to use reflective paint on the roof. It is a paint that reflects the sun’s rays to prevent the roof from overheating and which reduces the interior temperature. A supermarket in Amilly, near Montargis (Loiret), has opted for “cool roofing”, a very common practice in the United States or India and which is developing more and more in France.
