Reshuffle, Council of Ministers and vote of confidence in the National Assembly, the next few days promise to be busy for the government of Elisabeth Borne.
In the next few hours, Elisabeth Borne should submit her copy for a new government. With at least four women ministers to replace: three losers in the legislative elections and one appointed to head the National Assembly. Not to mention the thorny case of Damien Abad, current Minister of Solidarity, now under investigation for attempted rape.
A headache for the executive who must respect parity while bringing in elected Modem and Horizon, without forgetting Les Républicains, in a logic of coalition in the Assembly, reports Pierre Olivier, from the political service of RFI.
Council of Ministers and vote of confidence
Also on the agenda, no less than two Councils of Ministers are scheduled. The first for three weeks should be held this Monday in an emergency, in order to validate several prescriptions. The other, eagerly awaited, on purchasing power, is scheduled for mid-week.
Finally, Wednesday, a new ordeal by fire for Elisabeth Borne who will have to make, before a seething Assembly, her declaration of general policy. Above all, by then, she must have made the decision whether or not to submit to a vote of confidence. With 250 majority deputies against 327 for the opposition, the outcome of this vote could be disastrous for the executive.
