Nowhere in that district is laughing gas allowed. That has been the case since 2020. Utrecht will soon expand the ban on laughing gas in the city. From 11 July, in addition to the Overvecht, West, Northwest and Southwest districts, it is no longer allowed to use laughing gas in the Leidsche Rijn, Vleuten-De Meern, South and Northeast districts. The municipality hopes this will reduce the nuisance caused by the use of laughing gas.
